Now is not the time....

That is the constant refrain those of us who are asking questions and raising red flags over government policy....
 have been hearing these past 24 hours. Unpatriotic, your a bad person seem to go hand in hand with that and oh yes disloyal to our troops.

Yet it is my belief that now, more than at any other time it is vital that we raise and hopefully address the issues that have led us here. That the best way to support our military personnel is to hold the government to account.

The rally around our government cry is a most dangerous one, as we saw in the US this you're either with us or against us meme only leads us to a place we don't want to be.

This is what we must fear much more so than any violent attack, no matter the motivation.

My heart goes out to the families of those who have died these past few days and those who work on the hill many of whom will develop PTSD from this experience, but we mustn't let grief and anger influence our reaction.

 Hatred only begets hatred.
