It's the fraud stupid

We know as Justice Mosley put it  "An unprecedented, covert and widespread campaign of voter suppression was perpetrated on Canadian voters in the 2011 federal election" This is the issue
not robocalls, in fact many of the calls people received were live calls. Robocalls are nothing but a distraction serving the guilty person or persons allowing them to quietly slip away.

Our focus must remain on the fraud component it is immaterial how the fraud was delivered we need to find out who perpetrated this fraud that goes to the very heart of democracy for without fair and honest elections there can be no democracy not even the watered down version we once enjoyed.

So enough of this robocall nonsense It's all about the fraud.

  1. I'm so glad you did this, Kev. I'll be adding another later.

    Here's an earlier one: http://scathinglywrongrightwingnutz.blogspot.ca/2013/05/the-issue-is-election-fraud.html

The media seems uninterested in untangling these two events. So, for that matter, does the Fucking Useless Opposition®. Up to us. Again.

    1. It's like reporting on a bank robbery by focusing on the fact the robber entered through the front door...True but so what

  2. It most certainly is about the fraud. It's also a sad comment on voter apathy.

  3. Susan Delacourt has an interesting take on the Conservative reaction (or lack thereof) to the court's finding: http://www.thestar.com/news/insight/2013/05/31/where_is_conservative_outrage_over_robocalls_scandal.html

  4. It's also about the complete ineptitude of Elections Canada, who were AWARE of the fraud before the election and did nothing to warn the public, or assist in getting to the bottom of it in any kind of a timely manner

  5. hi Kev...you're absolutely right. That outrageous scheme to try to steal an election is the the biggest story of them all. And the way the Cons are pretending that they have been cleared could only happen in a Canada that has been degraded beyond recognition. Unfortunately the Senate scandal has helped bury the story. But progressives need to find a way to publicize what the judge said, because it also plays into the meme that will destroy Harper: WOULD YOU TRUST THIS MAN WITH ANYTHING?

  6. More Orwellian Doublespeak. The way the conservatives view it: implicated = exonerated. I understand Elections Canada and the RCMP not commenting on investigations. Letting the cat out of the bag can have negative results. However, it's been 2 years and we're really no closer in getting to the bottom of this.

  7. "implicated = exonerated"

Bill Oates, that so sums up the Conservative world view on each and every scandal Harper has experienced. Luckily, it's not sticking so well with the Duffy-Wright caper - Teflon Steve's coating is cracking. Maybe people will take another look at the electoral fraud findings and demand an inquiry.
