From the equality of rights springs identity of our highest interests; you cannot subvert your neighbor's rights without striking a dangerous blow at your own. Carl Schurz

Try a little togetherness

We are a people divided, by race, creed, religion, nationality and social class. In short every way imaginable.
This is no accident. Those who wish to control us for their profit have carefully fostered this divisiveness. They have done this by taking control of our media and infiltrating our institutions of learning.

Several generations have been raised knowing only this cult of individualism, we see it in their embrace of exploitative organisations like uber. We have been made into a society that feels little responsibility to the common good.

In the end though we can only prosper as individuals through the common good. We need to realise that what is good for the whole of society is indeed good for the individual.

We are all in this together, be it the environment, the economy or the social good, we can only turn this around through our collective actions.

In short it's time we practiced a little togetherness.

  2. It puts me in mind of this line from the George Sanders character in Son of Monte Cristo:

"Men like you never realize that I rule you collectively because I can master you individually."
