Clement issues a statement re public outcry over Gazebogate
It's not something the media can report as a response since it's trivially deniable, but nobody seriously talks about crickets' alarm being justified unless they're making an allusion to something else.
Perhaps Clement sees the media, the blogosphere(the non con-bot portion anyways), and the Canadian public as nothing more than a bunch of noisy bugs to squash in the pursuit of power.
Imagine if a Liberal minister had said something like that during adscam. Were there a Sun TV back then, it would be covering that statement 24/7. CTV News would do their part too, and then the CBC would follow along to try and stop people from calling them communist.
So the Cons are speaking in code now?

No one that I've discussed this tweet with today has viewed it as anything other than an arrogant sneer at the legitimate concerns of Canadians

ReplyDeleteSo the people that have the right to complain about the fraud, theft and deceit with taxpayers money are to be crushed like insects?
ReplyDeleteI don't know about crushed, but certainly not accorded any respect or legitimacy. After all they likely didn't vote Conservative.
