No it's a crime.

The Greenland ice sheet on July 8, left, and four days later on the right. An estimated 97% of the ice sheet surface had thawed by July 12.

  1. Sadly, such incontrovertible evidence of climate change will not alter some people's minds. I ran into a neighbourhood woman walking her dog today, and I opined that given the widespread drought, heat and humidity, we are paying for our environmental sins. She pointed out that there was a dustbowl in the thirties, after which she informed me that she doesn't believe in climate change, and that the aberrations we are now experiencing are simply part of natural cycles. Her logic eluded me, and I had to wonder when belief in scientific data became optional.

    1. I read a comment on a thread regarding rising sea levels To paraphrase climate change is gods will and a sign of the coming rapture all one had to do is take the lord into your heart and all will be fine.

It's sometimes difficult to believe in both cases that we live in the 21st century

  2. Shocking and depressing. The rapture ready crowd are idiots who have gained way too much political clout but it's the greedy opportunists who want to continue to make money out of environmentally destructive industries who have brought us to this point.

    1. Yes in fact these greedy opportunists are relying on warming in order to take advantage of the resources trapped in the arctic.
